FAQs

  • Do you donate to hospitals/outpatient programmes/community groups?
Whilst we appreciate your interest in our work, we do not donate to any of the above. The reason for this is largely down to ethics. As a new patient or participant, it could be extremely isolating to enter an environment where everyone around them has been “gifted” something, and they have not. We also want to avoid our work being used as a representative of how unwell someone is. Unfortunately, eating disorders have a tendency to be extremely competitive, and often sufferers will feel that they are not “sick enough” and therefore “unworthy of recovery” unless they have “proved” their illness. This couldn’t be further from the truth, but when in the grips of an eating disorder, our minds work differently. If we were to donate cutlery to wards and residential programmes, it could be misconstrued as further enforcing these unrealistic beliefs, with the potential to prevent an individual from seeking help. Although the risk of this is low, it's a risk nonetheless, and one that we are not willing to take. We are also very aware that some programmes do not allow for patients to use their own cutlery. This is something we are extremely respectful of, and would encourage anyone looking to place an order whilst engaging in any sort of recovery programto discuss things with your named nurse/program leader before placing an order.
  • Do you stamp custom pieces?
Absolutely! One of our favorite things with our work is to have the opportunity to work with you one to one, to create something truly unique to you. Most products in our shop can be customized. If the 'custom design' listings are not visible in our shop, it is likely because our places have been filled for that week. Please do still feel free to pop us a message as we may be able to help. Alternatively, we can have a chat about getting you booked in for our next available week. Many of our set designs can also be personalized, but again this is by prior arrangement and will incur an additional charge. Since we stamp everything in batches, any request to personalize set designs without prior discussion will be disregarded. If you have any other questions about commissions, please do not hesitate to get in touch via our contact page and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. If possible, it can be helpful to send us a few details of what product(s) and design ideas you might have in mind. We look forward to working with you!
  • When will my order be dispatched?
For the most part, Lana’s Basket is an independent team of just one: Elle. For this reason, processing times can take up to 3 weeks from the date of your order * This is excluding delivery time which is additional from the date of dispatch, and varies depending on where in the world you are. Orders are processed in the order that they come in. If you require your order sooner, please get in touch as we may be able to accommodate. This will incur an additional charge and will vary based on the size of your order. *Lana’s Basket reserves the right to extend processing times based on how busy we are.
  • Do you offer wholesale?
We welcome wholesale enquiries! We consider wholesale to be anything of 10 units or more of the same product and design. Discounts are calculated based on the order quantity and complexity of the design. Finishing touches such as gift wrap are optional on wholesale purchases, and will also influence the final price. We do not take discount enquiries for non wholesale purchases.
